I used to be a person that could only read one book at a time but that has changed. I’ve never had so many books on hold before. Which book will I be reviewing next? My money is on Delirium since I am about 80% done with it, but it can be anyones game. Imperium by Robert Harris (This is a hybrid book.My excuse is school, but I am still trying to update and read for “fun” as much as I can so here are the books that I am currently reading: I’m sorry there hasn’t been that many reviews the past couple of weeks. It is important that we never stop to love because without love, society cannot survive. ![]() Raven knew what was going to happen to Lena, but she still put Lena in the life or death circumstances even though there was a good chance Lena would end up dead.Ī few times the description of the places slightly contradicted itself and it confused me, but apart from that I have nothing negative to say. The Resistance is supposed to represent the good side of the dystopian society, but even they make mistakes and hurt others for their cause. Something else I liked was how Lauren Oliver portrayed The Resistance and its leaders in this book. Oliver also uses sensory details in order to help the reader have a better idea of the atmosphere and thoughts rushing through the minds of the characters. It showed her that someone can love more than one person. It gave Lena an opportunity to get out of her numb shell and feel again. The addition of Julian to the story was something I welcomed with open arms. Lena is the main protagonist in the novel. I loved the character development Lena went through in this book, and the alternating time chapters really worked out well and enhanced the importance of everything we read. Pandemonium though, pleasantly surprised me.
